INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC SUPER CHARGER

Installing an electric super charger onto a car of any kind (for racing or for customizing or whatever) is an art. The installation of electric super charger as an upgrade for a car is considered as one of the simplest upgrade, due to its simplicity and compactness in design.

The first and foremost thing to do before installing is analyzing the type of supercharger to be used for that specified engine, for example small-displacement engines which are present in motorbikes or in old remodeled cars, involves electric super chargers which are mass market in nature. For engines high with very high displacement or liter capacity in the order of 1.5 liters or above, it's mandatory to use electric turbo super charger.

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SUPERCHARGER:

• The very foremost super charger kit.
• Air-filter (usually conical in shape for better filtering process).
• Grease material for lubrication purpose.
• Hacksaw, Torque wrench and Sockets.
• Sheet metal with self-tapping screw.

PROCEDURE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC SUPER CHARGER:

• First thing is to lose the clamp with the air-filter and remove it from the inlet tube.
• Lubricate the inside of that tube with grease for friction prevention measure.
• The larger end of the rubber tube is slide onto the main inlet tube which is lubricated with grease.
• The loosened hose clamp is now tightened with screw driver which is of flat-head type.
• Now the outlet side of the tube is installed within the main stock tube, and is squeezed with the pre-installed hosepipe that is already squeezed with a flat-head screw driver.
• Then the conical air filter is installed in the inner side of the inlet tube and the hose clamp is now tightly secured and prevented from further freedom.
• One bolt from the –ve terminal of the battery is removed and is slide between the electric supercharger's black terminal and clamp. (An important thing is not to reinstall the bolt).
• Now the connection is given between the red terminal which is for relay purposes, and the weather-pack terminal.
• The eyelet of the ground wire that is black in color is slide from –ve terminal to the top of the electric supercharger.
• With torque wrench, reinstall the bolt with a readable value of 30 pf (pound-feet).
• Now the self-tapping screw is included on the hole done by mounting for relay purposes.
• The installed relay is now kept as close to the electric supercharger as possible, and the screws are tightened using the appropriate drivers and green wires on relay is connected to the corresponding "signal out" switch on the microcontroller.
• This switch is adjusted to work in only full throttle conditions and the "input power" switch at the end of the eyelet is bonded with +ve terminal of the battery.
• As we already did in step 7, the same procedure is adopted for +ve terminal also.
• Finally the +ve ground is squeezed with torque wrench for the same 30 pf.
