I got it, Jack is a gift. These are perfect for my current crop (old artisan pre China ..) I use when I need the whole car in the stands. Height is not high enough to get a lot of space, but enough for my needs. Solid construction, good welding and attractive surface. Horns are also re-submitted. Strong, but not SUV tall

Sturdy and strong, but not tall enough to support my Acura MDX (which is not a tall SUV). Fully extended, the saddle of the stand is 16 1/4" tall. My SUV jack mounts are 15" off the ground. Apparently, I needed to account for several inches of suspension travel. I would recommend this product to someone with a sedan or smaller car but in that case, you could probably get by with a 2 ton version. I gave 4 stars because the 3 ton stands aren't tall enough for my <3 ton vehicle.
A reasonable buy

I have found the jacks to be solid and they seem to do the job. I wish I had bought them a bit taller. By the way, the tab that you bend in place is only to keep the rachet from coming out of the stand. It does not support three tons and is not a secondary safety feature, just a simple stop to keep the two parts together.
solid but fiddly

A very basic tool and solidly built. I am nonetheless, a little unsure that the secondary protective feature, a piece of metal I had to bend into place, is really going to do the trick if the primary ratchet fails, after all, if I can bend it, then why would it hold as three tons rapidly falls onto it. Saying that, the primary safety element appears very solid and I cannot see why it should not work long term. This are fine for an occassional use.

I've used the jack stands twice now and they work great. The design seems good, safe and are easy to use. I have a GMC Sierra 1/2 ton and went with the 3 ton design based on the company's recommendation. 

When I researched this product I was confused as to whether I was buying a box with two (2) jack stands in it or purchasing just one because they kept refering to "each". 

The box is a pair of jack stands for anyone wondering.
