Is The Straight Line Downline A Scam? - Complaints Against The Straightline Downline

If you are looking at using advertising coops to generate signups for your network marketing business, there is one particular that I must warn you about. Why?  Because the person running it is not really helping the people who are participating in the coops.  The whole purpose of coops is for everyone to share in the lead generation process.  In other words,  the leads that convert into sales should follow the order in which the coop participant signs up. This particular coop I am talking about is called the Straight Line Downline system run by Rob Herr.  A lot of disappointment has been expressed about his system's failures.

Rob Herr advertises the Straight Line Downline system in home business magazines.  The full page ads guarantees that people will be placed in your downline in some straight line downline format.  As it turns out,  I found out that the system doesn't really exist.  Rob said he calls his system that name because it appeals to most people who do not want to pester their friends and family about enrolling into his system.

He claims that the straight line downline system does all the work for everyone.  But one thing he doesn't tell you is that in order to benefit from the placement of people in your downline, you have to participate in his coops which can cost from $100-$200 a month.

The biggest complaint against the way Rob does business is that he doesn't hold webinars to provide his members with an update of what is going on with the results of the coops. As a result, people investing in the coops feel like they are being left in the dark. Just think about it for minute.  Would you give money to Rob Herr to order advertising coop shares in multiple advertising magazine ads without giving you an update on what is going on.  Yes.  He does everything strictly over the phone.  And what is shocking is that people fall for it.

Since Rob Herr follows up on all the prospects who responded to his magazine advertising campaign,  he also is responsible for closing them into a MLM company of his choice.  Instead of focusing on one company, he is promoting two programs at the same time.  This is where the problem lies.  In the business of network marketing, in order to be successful, you are only supposed to promote one program at a time.  This would prevent what you may call the MLM junkie syndrome that plagues a lot of MLM newbies.
