Your painting project can be instantly ruined if you don't know how to use the HVLP spray gun properly. A typical gun will have a knob for the air pressure regulator. You can check the pressure gauge to monitor the high pressure. You can also adjust it and ideally, it should be at 18-22 PSI. With high pressure, you can easily atomize the fluid that you're planning to use like lacquer, paint, varnish, etc., but you should also be reminded that this can as well lead to overspray.

Some users of the HVLP spray gun tend to add a thinner to the fluid which results in dilution. The fluid will be easier to atomize but the drying time can be affected. For instance, if you're going to use polyurethane, you can be thin in but not exceeding 10%. When spraying the gun, you should tip it about 30 centimeters or 12 inches away from the surface. If the device is far away from the surface, it may result to an orange peel or pebbly surface.

When you spray the HVLP spray gun slowly, the cost will be heavier. For a lighter coat, you will need to spray faster. These are some of the techniques that you can use when using the device, whether you have Graco or SATA airless equipment.

Sprayers are in demand these days so you will have to make an informed purchase. Finding the right device with so many guns in the market can be hard, but if you read product reviews, you can pick the right one.
