Installing a plasma TV

Installing a plasma TV wall mount is relatively easy. However you need to know exactly what you are doing and follow through the correct steps to ensure a safe and proper installation. Things you will need a phillips screwdriver, stud finder, pencil and wrench. Step one use a phillips screwdriver to unscrew the TV stand screws from the back of the TV. Remove the screws and pull the base out from the bottom of the TV. Cover the screen and lay the TV face down. Put the TV brackets on the TV so that the VESA holes of both the brackets and the TV are matched up. Connect the brackets to the TV by inserting the VESA screws in the brackets and into the TV.

Next use a stud finder to locate two vertical wall beams. Outline each wall beam on the wall with a pencil. Place the wall plate on the wall so the mounting holes are located over the beams on the wall. Place the lag bolts through the mounting holes. Use a wrench to turn the lag bolts into the wall plate. Have a friend lift up the TV while you guide the brackets on the back of the TV into the connectors of the wall plate by screwing them together with the connection bolts and heading them off with a nut. Use a wrench to tighten the nut. Next is the LCD flat screen TV. Things you will need wall mounting kit/hardware, stud finder, level, ratchet and socket set, flat head screwdriver. First you need to buy a wall mounting kit that meets the size requirements of your TV. Most kits are universal to the TV size no matter the brand of your TV. Decide where you want to put your TV. Remove all the instructions from your kit. And gather all your tools. Take your stud finder and find a stud in the wall that you can place your mount on. (You need a stud because it will be able to hold the weight of your TV). You're going to eventually put lag bolts into these stud. You should mark the studs with a pencil.

Hold your mounting bracket so that the bolt holes line up with your stud. Decide how high or low you want the TV. Use your level horizontally and vertically to see if your TV will be level. (Make sure you are level) Believe me you will notice if you're not. Time to put the lag bolts in. Try to get someone to help you hold the mount while you put the bolts in the wall. You need to grab your ratchet and socket. (socket size depends on the size of your bolts). Once you tighten the bolts the whole way its time for the TV. There will be brackets to put on your TV. Normally a flat head screw driver will do. Put the brackets on and again get someone to help you with the TV. Attach the brackets on the back of the TV to the wall mount. Lock the TV to the mount connects your wires and you are ready to sit back and enjoy your new mounted TV.
