Power consumption is absolutely minimal on the UE40B7000 but there is a slight down side as there is no allowance for localised dimming which other sets have. Brightness is uniform but is unable to turn the backlights off. A specified contract ration has not been specified by Samsung and here are times where the black levels drop especially side viewing were the view is no clear.

The crisp edges and deep blacks of the Samsung UE40B7000 makes the picture on the screen almost three dimensional. There are also options to choose from when you want to play games. Additional is a common interface card slot and two USB 2. 0 ports as well as an Ethernet socket used for networking. There is also a port for a wireless LAN adapter which costs extra. There are also wonderful multimedia features which ensure everything works smoothly with a variety of file types.

The built in speakers are really not up to standard and at times distort but other than that this is a really lovely television and definitely needs some modifying although it has a high level of picture performance and the Samsung UE40B7000 is within a reasonable price range.
