Use Easier Oil Clean Up Methods

An oil clean up effort can be overwhelming for workers who have to spend hours out in the sun, wearing protection clothing and cleaning up liquid, gooey oil that has washed up on a beach. The units are patented with a design made for easy and fast installation. They have a cellular structure with a welded mesh framework as well as lined with geotextile material. The units can become walls that have the strength to withstand nature's or man's fury. The units are opened and filled with dirt-like material such as sand, giving them the structural integrity needed to hold up under intense pressure that a storm or an oil spill creates. The units are multi-purpose, so they can be used for other situations such as floods, protection against explosions and even in combat. The U.S. military has found the HESCO® units useful for overseas operations and it has protected many U.S. soldiers.

The speed in which the units can be assembled is another factor in making oil clean up easier. If there is an oil spill, the units can be installed within 20 minutes and it takes only two people to put up a 30-foot tier. This is also good if there is a storm on the way. If you were to use 1,500 flood sandbags, which is the equivalent to the 30-foot tier, it would take seven hours and 10 people to finish the job.

Another item that assists in making oil clean up easier is the addition of Enviro Armour™ to the HESCO® units. This is proprietary blend of USDA food grade polymers that turn the oil into a floating solid rubber mass. This alone makes oil clean up a whole lot easier.
