Easy to use

This code reader comes ready to use right out of the package. The code reset funtion saves a lot of radio reprograming. The fix it website was not much use as you will have to subscribe to get anything more that the information provided with the unit. A search of the internet or a trip to your local autozone will do the trick. I do recomment this for anyone wanting to save on auto repairs or have information when taking your car to the shop.

If you are at all mechanically inclined, this product will save you some serious bucks. I used it to detect an 02 sensor failure on my Toyota Tacoma. The sensor cost me $65, so I saved $155 compared to the cost of this repair at the dealership. To say the least, I am very pleased.

This tool has turned out to be a very valuable investment. I bought it two years ago when my check engine light kept coming on but would turn of before I could get it to the dealer. When they would check my computer module, there would be no record of a fault. I bought this tool and found out that the problem was a worn gasket on the gas tank filler cap. The leak only appeared on occasion and left no record when the engine was restarted. 

What I like most about this tool is that it comes with multiple connectors, so it works on different models. I own 5 vehicles and have been able to use this on all five. Plus, neighbors come to me and I've been able to help many of them (not necessarily a good thing). 

I love this tool. It has saved me a fortune. It also lets me decide if the repair is something I want to do or something for the shop. Without a diagnosis of the problem, when you go to a shop, you have pretty much already decided that they would do any repair they say you need. If you don't let them fix it, they will charge you 2 or 3 hours of shop time for diagnostics.

Great way to ensure the Cadillac/Chevrolet dealer who is now your "Authorized Saturn Service" provider isn't pulling a fast one. I can read the codes too! (Some places charge around $130.00 to run a one minute "diagnostic test".) This little tool works great and as advertised. I would recommend everyone with an OBDII vehicle to have one. Also recommend using non-rechargeable lithium batteries rather than alkaline.
