Marketing Campaigns; For The Non-Team?

There are drawbacks to working at home as opposed to in an office format. If you are part of a marketing team always communicating about ideas; discussing plans with everyone acting as a sounding board; planning the strategies for marketing ideas; determining overall advertizing costs; and then presenting an overall status report to the management.

Now your team consists only of your self. It is now up to YOU to determine interesting ways to clear the mind and get new ideas, to market and generate creative advertizing images. With online marketing, we write many different entries into the blogs, ad pages for our website, or other marketing strategies, creative ideas may come and go quickly. Remembering them and then not write them down immediately due to managing everything now on your plate may be detrimental to your efforts.

Once you have determined the layout of your web pages, the text for blog entries, articles or marketing presentations and you are ready to submit, are the emotions directed from your customer base defined? Do these words read well and push your customer to action?

The rewards of internet marketing can be wonderful. The joy of working for your self and the freedom of being at home with your family; and thankfully not having to respond to a boss all too consumed with the corporate bottom line. A different aspect to this process to add some interest and that provides some mental clarity is to take a break, stand up and speaking to a non-team, OUT LOUD!

Though I am hearing these grandiose plans and magical words alone; I’m speaking out loud these words as though I am presenting it to a marketing team and HEARING what I had written. Ideas begin coming forth as though more experienced voices are responding. This concept may sound different, and it is! Change the way you think!

Suggesting a change of habits can spark new ideas and be liberating. You will find that sounding out loud your written words can modify the intended emotions and can enlighten your mind to your originally intended action. Don’t just read them, but actually speak without the transcript in front of you.

Hearing these words out loud can clear the mind and spark different approach ideas. Reading these writings prior to posting can provide you with an insight and clarity as well, but this exercise may modify it completely. You may re-ask: Do my customer respond in the way I intended? Do the ideas I wanted truly get across? Do I mean this in this way or differently, or should I rearranged or modified these words to reclarify those emotions I want to come across?

By practicing this at different times during your day, see if creative ideas come out. Your writings could really improve. The emotion you want the customer to have can materialized. And then the desired action will become the desired emotion.

However, should the voices become more regular, I would cease this practice and maybe just take a long walk instead? You could be working too hard.
