Guidelines On Fish Tank Setup
Setting up a freshwater aquarium is a wonderful hobby nowadays. As wonderful and enjoyable as it is, keeping an aquarium can become an easy and challenging to most people who has just starting to create one. There are basic things to do and buy that you can't afford not to give due consideration. Fish tank is among those important things to have when you want to set up a freshwater aquarium. As a beginner you want to make it as great as it can be so to avoid unnecessary losses and unwanted errors on your fish tank set up here are some of the most helpful guidelines for you to start on:
Choose an appropriate fish tank location
Choosing a permanent location for your fish tank is the first thing to do when you set up your own freshwater fish aquarium. It must be situated conveniently near an adequate water source for easier refilling and cleaning when it gets dirty. A large fish tank is not advised to move back and forth from one location to another to prevent casualties on your end and to the marine life as well. These fish tanks can be heavy, fragile and breakable so it is really advised to secure and accessible place.
Place the aquarium in a well secured base
Place the aquarium in a well supported and secured base to withstand the full weight of the aquarium. A water filled aquarium can be heavier when it is fully filled up with water to prevent from collapsing it must be placed in a sturdy base. You may opt to purchase furniture from a store if you don't any for that purpose.
No direct sunlight please
It is not good to place your freshwater aquarium in direct exposure to sunlight. Proper lighting must be secure to maintain balanced marine ecosystem. Direct exposure to sunlight may cause massive production of stubborn algae that would be clattering around your tank. Another reason would be sunlight can cause abrupt change on the water temperature level that may cause fatal stress to fish and other aquatic plants.
Keep tanks away from busy environment
Better to place your water tank away from busy environment especially when children are playing and running around. Fish can be so sensitive too to its environment. There might be tendencies of breaking the glasses unknowingly when you are not aware of your activities while having your aquarium near you. Best is to keep your aquarium far from reach of children.
Avoid electrical hazards
Always be careful of electrical connections near you and your fish tank. These electrical equipments must be stored in a safe location away from water and other hazardous materials. Water can be an agent of electric shock therefore to prevent any untoward incidents always be careful dealing with electric gadgets.
Place aquarium in a nice place
Consider placing your aquarium in a place where you can see them clearly. It would make you happier if you can always gaze at them at a proper distance and height. Aside from that you can easily maintain and clean your water tanks if it can easily reached and viewed from where you are mostly situated.
Go for large tanks
Beginners are mostly fascinated with having large aquarium tanks for some good reasons. Choosing a fairly large tank for your aquarium can accommodate as much fish as you want to have. They can be cleaned and maintained easier. Beginners can notice what ever changes on water chemistry much easily so the process of learning can be quick as well.
Bigger surface are is better
This is one good reason also of having a large tank to start with your aquarium set up. Being large in size promotes and accommodates proper gas cycle inside the aquarium. It is often recommended to start with a larger surface area that smaller ones to maximize the potential of gas exchange cycle in an aquarium.

Honey Bee Life Cycle $63.73 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The honey bee life cycle, here referring exclusively to the domesticated Western honey bee, depends greatly on their social structure. Unlike a bumble bee colony or a paper wasp colony, the life of a honey bee colony is perennial. There are three castes of honey bees: queens, which produce eggs; drones or males, which mate with new queens and have no stinger; and workers, which are all nonreproducing females. The queen lays eggs singly in cells of the comb. Larvae hatch from eggs in three to four days. They are then fed by worker bees and develop through several stages in the cells. Cells are capped by worker bees when the larva pupates. Queens and drones are larger than workers and so require larger cells to develop. A colony may typically consist of tens of thousands of individuals. Families and Larger Systems: A Family Therapist's Guide Through the Labyrinth $40.24 If individuals cannot adequately be understood without reference to the family system, families themselves are comprehensible only in a broader social context. FAMILIES AND LARGER SYSTEMS is the first single-author book on families and larger systems designed specifically for the practicing therapist. It offers rich descriptions of the difficulties families and larger systems often pose for one another; presents a detailed assessment model for therapists; and provides a careful interviewing format as well as directions for designing creative interventions. Imber-Black offers a consultation model for dealing with families and larger systems who have become embroiled with one another, and methods for longer term work with those families who must engage with larger systems across significant portions of their life cycle, due to illness, handicaps, or poverty. Problems of labeling, stigma, and secrecy in families are addressed, and an entire chapter is devoted to women's issues in families and related systems. Utilizing numerous case illustrations and interview excerpts, Dr, Imber-Black first delineates the problems common to family-larger system situations, analyzing the origins of these interactions, the assessment model and interviewing methods used, and the design and implementation of intervention. In the second half of her book, she presents in-depth discussions of strategies for improving the relationship between families and related systems. Through concrete example and hands-on analysis, Imber-Black shows how the misconceptions, assumptions, and subsequent labeling of family functioning and family members give rise to stalemated situations. FAMILIES AND LARGER SYSTEMS provides apractical guide for all clinicians regardless of theoretical orientation. Therapists who wish to maintain a career in public sector settings, such as mental health clinics, hospitals, and schools, will find in this volume direction for effective work with families and the maintenance of good working relationships with colleagues. Therapists in private practice will discover that Imber-Black's model will aid their conceptualization of cases that have involved multiple therapists or other practitioners. Much of the material presented will also be useful to human services workers, both professional and paraprofessional, in welfare, child welfare, probation, drug counseling, schools and other institutions. The book's ecological viewpoint, which enables such professionals to see their own position in the system, also helps them to avoid the traps of replicating existing patterns, and to position themselves for therapeutic change. Finally, this book will be of interest to human service system administrators and program planners. The case examples offer a seldom seen view of the struggles families and multiple helpers can have with one another, while its theoretical models can be utilized to assess current inter-systematic functioning among larger systems in a community, wit |

Pressure Fed Cycle (Rocket) $81.25 The pressurefed cycle is a class of rocket engine designs. A separate gas supply, usually helium, pressurizes the propellant tanks to force fuel and oxidizer to the combustion chamber. To maintain adequate flow, the tank pressures must exceed the combustion chamber pressure. Pressure fed engines have simple plumbing and lack complex and often unreliable turbopumps. A typical startup procedure begins with opening a valve, often a oneshot pyrotechnic device, to allow the pressurizing gas to flow through check valves into the propellant tanks. Then the propellant valves in the engine itself are opened. If the fuel and oxidizer are hypergolic, they burn on contact; nonhypergolic fuels require an igniter. Multiple burns can be conducted by merely opening and closing the propellant valves as needed. They can be operated electrically, or by gas pressure controlled by smaller electrically operated valves. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. August Wilson Century Cycle $143.97 Series introduction by John Lahr with individual volumes introduced by Laurence Fishburne, Tony Kushner, Romulus Linney, Marion McClinton, Toni Morrison, Suzan-Lori Parks, Phylicia Rashad, Ishmael Reed, and Frank Rich. "No one except perhaps Eugene O'Neill and Tennessee Williams has aimed so high and achieved so much in the American theater."-John Lahr, The New Yorker "Heroic is not a word one uses often without embarrassment to describe a writer or playwright, but the diligence and ferocity of effort behind the creation of his body of work is really an epic story. . . . For all the magic in his plays, he was writing in the grand tradition of Eugene O'Neill and Arthur Miller, the politically engaged, direct, social realist drama. He was reclaiming ground for the theater that most people thought had been abandoned."-Tony Kushner August Wilson's Century Cycle is "one of the most ambitious dramatic projects ever undertaken" (The New York Times). With it, Wilson dramatizes the African American experience and heritage in the twentieth century, with a play for each decade, almost all set in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, where he grew up. Wilson's extraordinary lifework-completed just before his death in October 2005-is presented here for the first time in its entirety. Art is beholden to the kiln in which the artist was fired. Before I am anything, a man or a playwright, I am an African American. . . . The cycle of plays that I have been writing since 1979 is my attempt to represent that culture on stage in all its richness and fullness and to demonstrate its ability to sustain us in all areas of human life and endeavor and through profound moments of our history in which the larger society has thought less of us than we have thought of ourselves. The characters in the plays still place their faith in America's willingness to live up to the meaning of her creed. It is this belief in America's honor that allows them to pursue the American Dream even as it remains elusive. . . . They shout, they argue, they wrestle with love, honor, duty, betrayal; they have loud voices and big hearts; they demand justice, they love, they laugh, they cry, they murder, and they embrace life with zest and vigor. . . . In all the plays, the characters remain pointed towards the future, their pockets lined with fresh hope and an abiding faith in their own abilities and their own heroics.-August Wilson |

The Expanded Family Life Cycle (Hardcover) $299.69 Now featured in a Classics Edition with a new Foreword by Donald Boch, The Expanded Family Life Cycle integrates theory and current research with clinical guidelines and cases by two of the most-respected authors, teachers, and clinicians in the field of family therapy, Betty Carter and Monica McGoldrick. This classic Family Therapy text provides “and more comprehensive way to think about human development and the life cycle,” reflecting changes in society away from orientation toward the nuclear family, toward a more diverse and inclusive definition of “family.” This expanded view of the family includes the impact of issues at multiple levels of the human system: the individual, family households, the extended family, the community, the cultural group, and the larger society. The text features a ground-breaking integration of individual male and female development in systemic context; our increasing racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity; the emergence of men's movements and issues; the growing visibility of lesbian and gay families; and the neglected area of social class. |

With few opportunities to make money, he sells his blood on the black market of dealers who buy and sell the much-needed substance inside the hospitals. The Tradition of the Trojan War in Homer and the Epic Cycle $32.16 Although the Iliad and Odyssey narrate only relatively small portions of the Trojan War and its aftermath, for centuries these works have overshadowed other, more comprehensive narratives of the conflict, particularly the poems known as the Epic Cycle. In The Tradition of the Trojan War in Homer and the Epic Cycle, Jonathan Burgess challenges Homer's authority on the war's history and the legends surrounding it, placing the Iliad and Odyssey in the larger, often overlooked context of the entire body of Greek epic poetry of the Archaic Age. He traces the development and transmission of the Cyclic poems in ancient Greek culture, comparing them to later Homeric poems and finding that they were far more influential than has previously been thought. |
