Using Forehead Thermometers As A First Line Of Defense
International business and tourism travel has significantly raised the hazards of swine flu virus transmission to potentially global, pandemic proportions. More and more people are using noncontact forehead IR thermometers as a simple, quick, touch-less, and noninvasive way to perform preliminary screenings.
A non-contact forehead IR thermometer is designed for simple, expedient, and accurate initial fever screenings of groups by aiming the thermometer at areas of the face, such as the forehead or tear ducts (at the corners of the eyes).
Key Advantages:
1) Individuals being screened do not need to remove protective masks or glasses ensuring quick, orderly, problem-free fever screenings of large groups at airports, train stations, hospitals, schools & universities, or other public, travel- and/or health-related facilities.

The specialized Extech IR200 provides instant temperature reading with 0.1 degree accuracy (F° or C°). This thermometer was designed specifically for forehead fever detection from a 1"-4" distance with an 86° to 122°F (30.0° to 50.0°C) temperature range. Adjustable alarm alerts the user visually and audibly when temperature exceeds programmed limit.
The Extech IR thermometer is an affordable solution for public health authorities tasked with the responsibility for providing preliminary screenings for H1N1 fever symptoms' (body temperatures above 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius).
