How Does a Scissor Lift GS26321 Operate?

Scissor lifts are a type of areal work platform that give workers access to inaccessible areas that are either too high or awkward to reach. These mechanical devises are used widely within the industrial and commercial industries and you probably would have seen them before being used in various factories or warehouses up and down the country.

Aerial work platforms come in various types and sizes and can be used for many different reasons. The way this lift operates is via an upward and downward motion that is achieved via pressure or power being applied to the bottom set of supports. This propels the lift upwards and extends the criss-cross X pattern that supports the platform.  

When deciding on the type of scissor lift you need, you will obviously need access directly above you. You should consider the GS26321 lift if you need that bit of extra height. This is because this type of lift operates up to 18 metres high. If you need a larger work space and lift heavier loads then the GS26321 is the lift for you; it has a larger platform area than standard scissor lifts and can lift up to loads of 680kg.

Operating this type of lift is incredibly easy as it comes with various other options to make your job that little bit easier. For example if you require access that's through a passage or doorway, then this scissor lift is narrow and so can fit through these types of spaces. For areas of access that are difficult to get to because of the terrain, the lift has a 4WD option. For areas that require a bit more sensitivity, such as shopping centres or historical buildings, the lift has non marking tyres. There's also the option of having an extendable deck to give you extra reach and space for those really difficult spaces to reach.

Despite the ease of actually operating the GS26321 scissor lift, you still have to keep safety in mind. When operating on the ground, make sure all workmen are wearing hard hats from any falling debris. Also, at the work area directly above be careful make sure you are aware of the workmen beneath you. Before extended the lift make sure you have checked the space is clear of any fixtures that may get in the way, such as lighting and wires.
