70/85 Jerr-Dan Rotator tow truck introduction at Crawford Truck

Jerr-Dan has recently introduced the 70/85 rotator heavy duty.  It has a tip load rating of 18,400 lbs which is by far greater than the leading competitor.  The tow truck has extreme stability with the widest double scissors-style outrigger spread of the industry which is 112" by 264".  The unique scissors- style stabilizer design that keeps loads closer to the ground and body when lifting over the outrigger's extended beams is an excellent innovation that all tow truck dealers are excited about.  The outriggers have integral spades that are designed to provide 26" penetration for utmost stability on many areas with uneven terrain.  This wreckers has a working radius of nearly 42' which is a fully 8' more than the leading competitor.

 The Tandem Axle GVWR is 86,000 lbs, wit ha 240" cab to tandem/ cab to Drive Tandem (clear): 240".  The Frame RBM for each rail is 4,200,000 in – lbs.  The wreckers Front GAWR is 20,000 lbs while the tow trucks rear GAWR is 46,000 lbs.  The maximum unloaded frame height of this heavy duty is 42".

 In addition to these features this Jerr-Dan Tow Truck comes with Wilburt Tower Lighting, which comes with tilt and pan to light up the whole scene and prevent shadows when working close to the rig.  The remote control of the 70/85 rotator is a paddle style proportional remote control which provides the ultimate in feather control operation.  The Quandra Flare lights are strategically positioned for added safety at the scene.  The optional 3 section boom provides a 42" reach from the centerline of rotation in addition to an emergency stop in control panel which provides complete control of the situation with an emergency stop positioned right in the control panel. 

 The dual free spool, speed controls and gauges provide access to these functions from either passenger or driver side of the truck, in addition to storage drawers which provide additional storage with easy access.  The boom angle indicator allows operator to position the boom at the proper angle to ensure safety.
